GoMobile Events and Pricing

What Is GoMobile Events?
It is an app for smart phones and the desktop that handles ticket purchasing and managing an event

How much does GoMobile Events cost? 
Events are free.  See our pricing page

Do you have an iPhone app?
Yes, GoMobile Events is available on the app store. You can also use the app on other smart phones, tablets or the desktop

Do I need internet access at my event?
The iPhone application does not require internet access to check in tickets however to fully utilize GoMobile features such as order lookup you do need internet access. You can also export the guest list and print it out and go completely offline at the event

International Currency Support

GoMobile Events allows you to set one currency type to use for ticket purchases made via credit card.

Credit Card Processing

Are credit card purchases secure? 
Yes, we use the web standard ssl encryption on every page of the application. Each credit card processor independently processes credit card transactions and GoMobile Events is never exposed to any credit card information (it is only known by the ticket purchaser and the credit card processor (eg Stripe/Paypal)

How do clients pay for their tickets?
GoMobile Events gives you a unique address for your event's ticket purchase page. This is shown as "Purchase Web Page" in our application. It can be reached with a browser by specifying https://gomobileevents.com/eventalias  where "eventalias" is the name you chose for your event when you created it

How do you collect fees?
When a client purchases a ticket for say $100 then you will be paid the $100 minus credit card processing fees charged by Stripe or Paypal

How do i issue a refund?
You can do this with your chosen credit card processor. For example choose to refund using PayPal or Stripe. You can them change the order in GoMobileEvents by just deleting it

How do i sell to people who pay by cash?
You can add orders manually in GoMobile Events. These tickets are not charged a service fee by GoMobile Events. Additionally GoMobile Events will create a receipt number and can email the person their ticket confirmation

How can i use Square?
Once you have swiped a card with Square you will need to manually enter the ticket information into the GoMobile Events app.

Managing Your Event

Can multiple people scan tickets?
Yes, each check in is stored centrally on the internet. Once you scan a ticket it will appear as "checked in" on all other devices

Do i need Internet access to scan tickets?
No, the iphone application will allow you to scan tickets offline. When you are connected online again you can press "Sync" to send all your ticket scan information to your account.

I have multiple people scanning tickets. I dont want to give them my username/password
You can give each person their own username/password with limited rights to GoMobile Events. These options are available by selecting "Users" on the setup page

Is there a way to export the guest list?
Yes, there is an export option in the setup menu to export in excel format. You will need to perform this on a desktop PC.

How do you prevent ticket fraud?
Tickets are generated with an individual QR code specific for the ticket purchaser. It isn't possible to create a fake ticket as it will not scan. If a ticket is already scanned it will show when it was scanned.

Can I scan the QR Code shown with a smart phone?
Yes, your ticket purchaser can show their ticket confirmation code to you on their smart phone and you are able to scan it.

How do guests receive their tickets?
When an order is processed an email will be send. You can configure this email by selecting "Email Templates" from the setup page.

Do guests have to sign up for GoMobile Events to buy tickets?
No, guests are not presented with any requirement to sign up for GoMobile Events. Our application is for event promoters.

Credit Card Purchasing Help

An error "Your card does not support this type of purchase" appears when buying a ticket.
The credit card processing company cannot process the card for one of the following reasons: It may be a debit card requiring a PIN, your card may have cross-border restrictions, or the card may be restricted for certain business categories (eg corporate or FSA cards). An error "Your card's security code is incorrect" appears when buying a ticket.
The card security code was typed incorrectly. The security code is located on the back of the credit card. See this help page for more information.

An error "Your card was declined" appears when buying a ticket.
Declines can happen for a variety of reasons. Banks have automated systems that determine whether or not to accept the charge, taking various signals into account, such as your customer’s spending habits, account balance, and card information like the expiration date and CVC. Since these signals are constantly changing, a previously successful card might be declined in the future. Even if all of the card information is correct, and even if you previously had a successful payment, a future charge can still be declined by a bank’s overzealous fraud systems. Ticket Pricing

Can i set a limit on tickets sold?
Yes, in your event setup options you can set the quantity of tickets per tier. You can also enable or disable a tier to prevent tickets being purchased at that price tier

Can i have tickets priced at different levels?
Yes, GoMobile allows tickets to be priced at different levels and allows different quantities per level

How do i setup resellers for tickets?
You can create a special code just for resellers in the "Setup" section under "Promo Codes". When entering a promo code you will be shown a special url that the reseller can use to advertise or use to purchase tickets. You can track resellers by exporting your event details to Microsoft Excel (available in the Setup section).

How do i create discount codes?
Discount or promo codes can be created from the "Setup" section under "Promo Codes". When entering a promotion code you should specify the discount amount and whether to use percentage or amount off. The code itself is what will be typed by ticket buyer when they purchase a ticket. When a valid promo code is typed in the purchase page will display to discount amount and reduce the ticket price.
