Email Marketing
This tutorial take you through the basics of email templates & sending emails.
Adding an Email Template
Name - This is the name of the email template
Trigger - This defined if the email will be sent automatically on an event such as when a ticket order is completed or when a ticket order is added manually. Subject - This is the email subject CC - This is a list of email addresses that will also receive a copy of the email when it is sent. Type a comma (,) between email addresses. Template - This is the body of the email that will be sent. Note that you can include html code as well which allows you to format text and insert images etc. Note: The template and subject can contain "tags" which are placeholders for information about the ticket purchaser, the event etc. |
Sending an Email to all ticket holders
An email template can be sent to all ticket holders by editing the email template, scrolling to the bottom and then pressing the "Send To All" button. Note that any ticket holders with the option "Do not email" will not be emailed when this operation is used.
Note: Sending to hundreds of ticket holders may take some time to complete. Emails are throttled so that our email servers are not overloaded so it may take up to an hour to send more than 100 emails. |
